1 Examine how attitudes towards linguistic standards empower and oppress language users. Explore how views on language standards can affect speakers positively and negatively  4 From Tan I learnt that different people treated Tan’s mother differently or for her broken English.

4.5 In my LLN, my key audiences were normal students who struggled writing their essay and it was effective.

5 I improved my synthesis from bad to good simply by taking feedback from Professor Micaela Macagnone and by using the format she taught us in the class.

4 Recognize and practice key rhetorical terms and strategies when engaged in writing situations. Understand and use rhetorical terms (description, symbolism, all elements of the rhetorical triangle) in your own writing

  Explore and analyze use rhetorical terms and strategies when writing essays, poems, letters etc.

4 I used a few rhetorical terms in my synthesis essay in order to synthesize sources.

4.5 I used google doc to write my essays and other writings for ENG110 class.
